i recently play in WH40k winter assault and i feel sorry for those poor cannon fodder, so i try to design some hevier armor for imperial guards

Very cool looking armour. I reckon this would work better in an alt-iverse of WH40k, rather then normal backstory.Whats does the gun represent if you use normal WH40k rules?

Probably heavy stubber. The armour could be a planet-specific version of carapace armour.

I like that idea :D The current Carapace armour is just Flak armour with a few extra plates afterall :P

Have you considered sending this off as concept art to a model making company? I reckon lots of people would their IG to look like this. :D

I'm glad you like my idea, but that's not my art. I just responded to your question. I'm not the artist, just a fellow viewer. Also, GW might not go for a different model of carapace armour when the Imperium is technologically-stagnant, because of the lore and maybe because it'll be harder or more expensive to produce more models for various vanity-pieces. If the artist wanted to do it, he could, but he should be ready for rejection for canon art.
